Smaller Than Life

Posted by Colin (Port Elizabeth, South Africa) on 14 January 2017 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

Just as I was about to take a shot of the flower, this grasshopper landed. It is fully grown and a species that only gets to about 1cm at max. From a set done on the Wild Coast of South Africa. There is so much natural beauty around but on this day I decided to focus on the smaller things amongst the lush forest growth. I crawled around under leaves and branches looking for shots. I used a Tamron 14-70mm f2.8 which was fantatic, as many times the light was quite low in between the foliage

I truly appreciate each and every comment I get from all of you. And I really do not mind negative critique either.
