I was taking a shot of this bench spot when the bird politely came and sat on the window sill to add some value. Lighting with a 50w LED car spotlight in a softbox connected to a motorcycle battery. I much prefer permanent light to flash and have made up my own equipment rather than buying expensive gear

@tataray: Thank you. I was quite amazed when the bird came to rest. I had just taken the shot and quickly took another with him in the frame

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

A very cool shot with an almost spooky atmosphere.

@Steve Rice: Thank you. I was going for the ghostly look and then this bird came and sat itself down.

@martine Libouton: Thank you. The bird was not planned but sat itself down while I was taking the photos so I quickly took another with him included

@Nicou: Thank you very much. I had planned the original shot and then the bird came and sat down to make the shot perfect

Harmonia from Bondues, France

Great shot... I like this composition...

9 Jun 2016 4:58pm

@Harmonia: Thank you - I had the original shot planned and then this bird sat itself down to add so much value. Almost strange, as it was already fairly late in the evening and he should have been at rest already

L'Angevine from Angers, France

superbe ces verts bleus

@L'Angevine: Thank you. It was a home made soft box and I made a slide-in slot in front of the light itself. In this case it was a piece of old turquise stained glass. Its nice because the glass is small (12cm x 12cm) and creates some colour but allows most of the light around it
